Bronwyn & Patrick

Bronwyn and Patrick have been married for 17 years. Their coming together in marriage was definitely a God-set-up, which surprised them both. They have five children between them and five grandchildren. Patrick has been a secondary school teacher for most of his career. Bronwyn has been a teacher for approximately twenty years but is now a part-time administrator at Masterton Hospital. Both are now primed and ready for the most productive season in their lives for the Kingdom.

They both enjoy volunteer work. Patrick is Chairman of a well-known charity organisation in the Wairarapa, and Bronwyn is a Leader in the School of Faith NZ.

They are both hungry for being in God’s presence and helping usher in that experience for others. Their passion is to see people set free to be themselves in relationship with Jesus, to grow in that relationship through both His word, and through personal encounters with Jesus.

They believe that the gospel is powerful and that when we gather in His name, the meeting should be powerful if we have really encountered God’s presence.

Bronwyn and Patrick were getting together with friends Pat and Maire Mackle on a Sunday morning in their home when Jesus said, “You have just planted a church.” Freedom and Life was birthed in February 2023. Since that time, a growing group of people hungry for His presence gathers once a month in their home.

More recently, God has called them under the Apostolic covering of this wonderful new movement - Te Puna Wai Church. Exciting times.

Pat & Maire

Pat and Maire have been married for 42 years. They have two sons and are blessed with wonderful grandsons. They live in Silverstream in the Hutt Valley.

Pat was a police officer for 20 years, then left the police to take up the role of Boarding master at St Patrick’s College Silverstream. Following that, he began his 18-year teaching career. Marie has been a nurse for her adult years, before and after raising the family. She currently works as a manager in general practice.

The Lord has been speaking clearly to Maire in recent times about ministering the powerful love of Jesus in the “marketplace.” This is about co-laboring with Him in the ‘day to day’ to bring about His purpose on the earth and see people’s lives transformed and set free as they encounter Him.

They meet at Bronwyn and Patrick’s home on the first Sunday of each month for church. Earlier this year, God told them they had planted a church. This church is “Freedom and Life.” They continue to seek God’s will and the leading of the Holy Spirit for His purpose at this time..
